What I understand is what the guy is really trying to figure out is the money he needed to borrow from his friend. Meanwhile, his friend thought he was trying to impress the bartender (which implicitly I understand is a female bartender) by leaving a more than generous tip. This because his friend asks about 150% of the total amount to pay. We can talk about it in class, if you want to bring it up.
I'm here again and I can see you haven't had that much progress in your blog. Remember you have to write at least 200 words twice a week in your blog and you're way behind in your assignment Mr. Jerry.
